By default, Kiwi for Gmail & Kiwi for G Suite will download attachments and any other files to the default location - which is the download folder.
You can change the default folder in Preferences | Settings in the General tab.
You can also enable an option to always prompt you to select a folder, each time you download a file or attachment.
